Taking a Stand Award - This award is open to individuals, community groups, youth groups and schools, who have taken a stand and shown courage, determination and resilience against perpetrators of anti social behaviour. Please note that the winner will automatically be selected as the CSP's nominee for the national 'Taking a Stand Awards'.
CRITERIA: The nomination must demonstrate that the input or involvement of the individual or group has made a real difference in a project or partnership and must clearly show how other members of the community have benefited from their actions.

Effective Partnership Working Award - This award is open to individuals and/or organisations that have been instrumental in setting up and maintaining a partnership that has made a real impact in the community and/or where a partnership approach is breaking new ground.
CRITERIA: The nomination must give an outline of what the partnership set out to achieve and the impact it has had on the community.

Problem Solving Award - This nomination is open to individuals and/or organisations who can demonstrate an effective problem solving approach to any community issue.
CRITERIA: The nomination should demonstrate a structured approach covering Scanning, Analysis, Response and Assessment.

Young Volunteer of the Year Award - This nomination is open to any young person under the age of 18 on the 16th October 2009 who by giving their time and skills free of charge, has made a significant contribution to the life or lives of other people.
CRITERIA: The nomination must demonstrate the young person's involvement, commitment and impact on the local community and/or individuals.

Education Award - The nomination is open to any school or organisation that can demonstrate how they have improved the quality of life for an individual and the impact this has had within the environment of the school / organisation.
CRITERIA: The nomination must demonstrate the school / organisation's commitment and approach in securing the achievement and the impact on the community.

Equality and Diversity Award - This award seeks to recognise work within the community which contributes to the elimination of discrimination, promotion of equal opportunities and promotion of good relations between people of different groups.
CRITERIA: The nomination must demonstrate work within any strand of diversity, including race, religion and belief, disability, age, gender and sexual orientation and transgender.

Crime & Disorder Reduction Town/Village of the Year Award - This award recognises the town or village which shows the greatest contribution to reducing anti-social behaviour.
CRITERIA: The
judging of this category will consider statistics and data collected by the Community Safety Partnership in the last financial year.
